Here on the coast we are told to "fill in our holes"... why? It's turtle seen. What is that many ask, well it is when the sea turtles come to the shore to lay their eggs. No lights on the beach, must be quiet, don't leave anything o the beach or dunes and must fill in the holes.
See when the turtles come on land they come at night and they are unable to see the hole. They can't see the chairs, umbrellas, toys and they definitely cannot see the holes. If a turtle falls in a hole or gets trapped it can cause serious injury. Not to mention if humans we to fall, twist an ankle... just fill in the holes. What's the big thing about sea turtles? Well they are an endangered species.
Now in saying that...
Aren't each and everyone of us an endangered species? There is only one of us and we only get one chance at this thing called. When we break, get hurt we are never the same afterwards and when we die, well like we die ... that's it.
Reality is we all have holes in our life. Areas that are not filled in, that need healing. To have the opportunity to live and enjoy our lives completely, to live in freedom it is important to fill in our holes. Holes in our life left unfilled will not only effect us and the choices we make, the way we live our lives but it effects those around us; our friends, family, even those we have yet to meet.
When we take that little extra time to fill the holes...heal, a whole new world is open to us. With time and the choices we make we are given new beginnings, new starts, a new chapter in each and everyones stories.
