Do You See Your Red Flags

I cannot tell you how many times I have been in the exact spot over the last couple of years, looking at the exact same things. Yes the flags change from green, yellow, red. The sky looks different daily as do the waves. Different people come and go… but today….
This “red flag” flying fervently in the wind, warning of the possible danger. I think of all the times I have seen this then look to the ocean and see people in the water. This morning there was one lone surfer. A gentleman standing next to me commented that he was told the waves were to choppy. I asked how old the surfer was, the response “old enough to know better”. I chuckled, shook my head and kept this comment to myself “isn’t that all of us? At one point in time do we not do something that we are old enough to know better?” … my silly moment in the midst of God showing me a lesson.
The prophetic thing about this picture is look below the flag, there stands a cross. God gives us discernment and wisdom… He graces and blesses us with rag flags to protect although so often we choose to ignore because we justify the situation. The thing is… God gives us warning signs. Then it comes down to our humaneness, our thoughts that we know better.
Look at the top flag… you all know me and my numbers. Added together 9… symbolizing divine completeness, the meaning of finality. Also representing the fruits of The Spirit… faithfulness, gentleness, goodness, joy, kindness, long suffering, love, peace and self-control. Wow is this speaking to me…
I tend to overlook red flags, not all the time, I am a empath who is also a people pleaser. I try to find the good in people and things… it takes Gods Devine appointments, actions, sometimes slap in the face aha moments to get me to see them and acknowledge them. Faith like a child is not to include vulnerability and being gullible. My end goal is to always attempt to lead people to Christ and prayerfully leave them better than I found them.
Today is a day of laying those red flags at the foot of the cross and trusting that God will take them and do as he will… bringing divine completeness and the peace of finality as I lay them down. I pray for a fresh anointing of the Fruits of the Spirit… filling in the holes of the things being removed… in Jesus name Amen.
What red flags are you overlooking? What do you need to take a better look at today? Blessings
