Do you walk here?

This spoke volumes to me this morning… I walk past many of these in a day and never has it appeared to be neon flashing as it did this morning.

We are told and it reads that we should walk the right path, narrow path and follow Him. In our minds, mine at least, we feel like we are doing a “good” job. What came to me was this sign tells us where to walk, even has marks on the road for us to follow… yet I think back how many times I’ve cut off a corner, cut across the road before the lines because no car was coming (aka no one was watching). There are places that fine you for jaywalking, not crossing in the proper lined space. It’s just a “suggestion” right? We don’t really have to cross there …

Bam… I am sitting here realizing I need to walk better… not just physically but spiritually as well. My hearts desire is to be on that narrow path following Him, walking alongside Him on the path. Sure reality is I will stumble, I fall but I know in those moments He is there to catch me, carry me, even drag me if need be as long as I am walking “with” Him.

I pray that this visual remains in my mind as I make choices throughout the day. I pray my choices are pleasing to Him … my hearts desire is to get to the end of this race and hear “well done my child, well done”… Amen
