Let’s talk about time…

Does anyone else believe that God can use anything to speak with us? Granted, for me, it may take a bit for the message to land, resonate but the important thing is … I open my brain and receive it, pray through it and pray that I am obedient to walk it out.

My latest lesson was about thyme. I went to every market to get some for soup, yes the one that part of it ended up on my floor. There was not one bottle to be had… not one between 6 stores. Finally in the last store I found a small packet in a different area than all the other spices. All throughout the search I kept asking “Father what are you trying to teach me? What am I to be learning?”

Now just prior to this I lost a few people who have touched my life, been my friends, prayed and warred for me. Sudden deaths. Those heart stopping, can’t breathe, can’t understand how or why. Every time I would just keep saying our time is short….

Here’s the thing I got in the Word and started researching time. God took me to Matthew 18:21…. Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Whoa… not at all what I was thinking but it caused me to sit and meditate and reflect. Am I forgiving enough? Am I spending enough time diligently forgiving as God forgave me?

Then we went to Acts 1:7 it is not for us to know the time or the dates… 8 you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. So we don’t know the time yet when the time comes we receive power, His power through the Holy Spirit. His power to handle, carry, lay down that which we struggle with. The losses we endure.

Romans 13: 11-13

Ok this is where I thought the lesson was going… understand the present time, do this… understand the present time. It is time for us to wake up, our salvation is nearer now then we first believed. Set aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. We are called to be light in a dark world. Our time is short, for some time has run out. Which leads me to question was I a light? Did I do everything I am called to do to lead those who God called home to light? His light? Salvation? Or did I fail those tests?

1 Corinthians 7:29

Time is short…

Doesn’t get more clearer than that does it? Time is short. Cut and dried, time is short for some non-existent.

I have been reflecting for the past week, how am I spending my time? Am I using it by being kingdom minded or am I getting caught up in my humanness? Am I a light to those around me or a stumbling block? Are people seeing Christ in me? If my time were to run out today, have a ran the good race? Will I make it to the finish line?

I challenge you today to reflect on your time… how are you spending it? If your time was to run out today what will the legacy reveal about you? Did you use your time wisely? I would love to hear what God shows you.

Have a blessed timely day my beautiful friends 💗

It’s even Biblical … although we are living in a time where good is bad and bad is good. Such a broken world. I have went back and forth...
