Never To Old To Play In Sand

A memory came up on my social media from 3 years ago. It was of a beach scene; sand, water, driftwood and stated "Sometimes, all I need is a little patch of sand". Back then I wrote "Ahhh... I love having my 5 gallon bucket of sand from my special place, on really tough days just closing my eyes, running my fingers through it, takes me right to Sullivan's Isle and a God given peace".

Those were some seriously dark, lonely, sad days all I wanted was for God to answer the desire of my heart...move me to South Carolina, please. So when that bucket of sand showed up, paired with my shells and my beachy prayer room, well lets just say, I created my own tangible face to face with God space. See in my mind prior to that I could only experience those deep, serious, life altering moments with Him at Sullivans Isle. It wasn't until I laid down my thoughts, my ideas and allowed Him to remind me how He shows up anywhere, even in a 5 gallon bucket of sand I must add.

It is very safe to say I kept Him in a box, not by any means where God belongs. I mean I had, excuse me "have" Him with me everywhere, all the time yet I created a mental block when it came to "experiencing" Him. The excitement to spend the rising sun with Him, the anticipation of what He wanted to show me...I literally believed in my mind He could not do that where I lived.

Have you felt this? Do you only experience Him in certain areas? If so, is there a way you can bring your special place into your daily life? Think out of the box, don't limit yourself or God. Life gets tough, ugly, disappointing so waiting on those God moments in that special place can become very few and far between.

I would love to hear how you have brought your special place into your home, your daily life. Has it made your relationship better with Him? With this conscience choice to bring your special place into your daily life how has it changed your outlook?

Keep up the good race.

It’s even Biblical … although we are living in a time where good is bad and bad is good. Such a broken world. I have went back and forth...
