The curve balls have not stop, I've even taken some direct line hits to the heart...my response once I get my footing is to be grateful I am not on this journey alone.
Ding, Ding, Ding... frustration at its finest. I wrote an entire blog post and guess what...it is gone.
Back to the writing board or in this case prayer. Why? Well my first thought was to close my computer and walk away. That is what the enemy would love, I say this because I am sure it was not Gods plan to lose everything we have been working on. So lets try to pick this up again...
When prayers get answered and they look totally different than what were expecting this is our opportunity to choose gratefulness, thankfulness and break out in worship. Sounds crazy right? in our humanness we want what we want, when we want it and we expect it to look how we prayed for...all wrapped in a little bow. Well if life went that way, if God gave us everything we ever wanted, what we prayed for...I don't know about y'all but this makes me cringe and even more grateful for unanswered prayers or prayers that didn't end up looking like I thought.
Here is the reality of it...when we go to prayer and pray "let your will be done not mine", or how about "send me", "use me", love this one "help me to become the person you created me to be", "mold me". Then we look back at the fire we walked through and wonder why we feel like a Gumby doll...Stretch Armstong. I am covered in God bumps at the pure power and strength of these prayers... the magnitude of how praying like this, being obedient is life altering, has the potential to be generations of life altering.
Challenge... when things aren't looking as we feel they should; be grateful, thankful, break out in worship and watch what God does with that.
